I know I haven't been blogging in a while...
I've had a backlog of things I've wanted to post but never got to doing(last year of highschool was a pain).
Right now I have a post that I really want to publish that's sitting in my drafts but it doesn't seem fit to be posting something ~~controversial~~ rant-ish on New Year's day.

So, I guess all I can do now is say Happy New Year everyone!
Have a wonderful year filled with joy and happiness~~and try to repent for anything you regret doing in the past or may regret doing later on because we'll all be dead by end of the 21st of December. LOL. I joke...~~

Goodbye 2011, you've been good to me~~better than bloody 2010~~ and hello 2012, I hope you have good things in store for me(:

When You Know Things Are Unfair, What Can You Do?

I'm not used to how things are.

People around me -left and right- they just never gave me a chance.

Do you know how it feels to know you're good at something and people just blatantly ignore that fact?

Do you know how it feels when they overlook your capability even though you have proof of what you can do?

The only time they ever look in your direction is when you were the last choice they had.

You see, I've been sitting quietly in this new school of mine, thinking that everything was great.

I've enjoyed things as they were... until sports came along.

Anyone who knows me well would know that I love sports.

I love playing a good game of basketball or a fun match of netball.

I was happy when my school asked me to participate in MSSD.

I loved the feeling I got when I proved my worth and brought home medals.

When I shifted to this school, I thought:

It's okay, all I needed was to find people to play the games with, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard. I mean, there's so many people here!

Wrong.

The first blow was when I tried joining the school netball sports club.

I submitted my name in early just in case the club didn't have any space for new members later on.

Within the next few days, the paper I had submitted my name on was returned to me.

I was rejected. Why?

I looked for the teacher in charge to get an answer.

Do you want to know what her stupid answer was? An answer that infuriated me so much that I felt my hands instinctively curl into fists.

"I don't accept new students."

WHAT?!

Just because she was in charge of the netball "club" mind you, not "team", she had the gall of straight out denying my entreaty.

I was so fed up with being modest and begging for her to let me into the club that I just told her bluntly that I was an MSSD(School District) player.

And what was her disgusting reaction?

She stared at me and just repeated what she said before.

I ask you, what in the hell is wrong with her?

You know, I wouldn't have minded trying out if it were possible but no, she gave me no chance at all because after all, "she didn't accept new students".

I gave up and just decided to join tennis.

It was a sport I used to be interested in anyway.

So, the winds of my fury died down a little.

Of course, I was still mad at how unfairly these things at school were being handled.

SECOND blow came when the Interhouse School Games arrived.

By games I mean netball, basketball, volleyball, football, chess and the like.

After how things ended up the first time, I inwardly hoped that things were going to be dealt with fairly.

Wrong again.

The house captains and committee members were running amok, looking for players for every sports team.

As the new rule stood, it was one person, one game or team is disqualified.

So it is to be assumed that practically everyone in the whole school would get a chance right?

Huh, yeah right.

At first, I was already put into the netball team for my house in the under-18 category.

I was all pumped up and ready for a match I haven't had in months.

Then, news came that they were merging all the categories for netball into one.

Meaning each of the 10 chosen for Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18 were going to play as one single team.

From 30 people, they had to cut down to 10.

Well, no surprises, I was cut.

Funny thing is, they didn't give us a chance for tryouts. Heh.

The netball team captain just picked her friends and got it over with even after someone told her I was an MSSD player(this point doesn't seem to carry much merit around huh?).

The captain gave me some kinda bitch stare(the kind that goes from head to toe) and completely ignored me and the person who told her.

Oh bless the equalities to be found in school=.=

Obviously, I was disheartened ~~fuckingpissedtobemoreprecise~~.

So I sat. I sat and waited it out.

Everybody was running here and there, looking for players.

And it hit me...

Tell me... when you see a fat person and a slim person, who would you think is more athletic?

Who would you think more capable of running faster and jumping higher?

Of course the slim person!

Unless you're some kinda weirdo who thinks in opposites, everyone would pick the slim person.

And that was the case here.

As bare and insensitive as can be.

Just because I didn't look the part, I couldn't play the part.

(For those of you who don't know or are too lazy to look at previous pictures, I'm someone who's on the heavier side of the weighing scale. Y'know, just to clear things up.)

Hey, I wasn't going to abuse my self-esteem any more than I had to because it was further proven by my super slim bestfriend -who isn't much of a sports freak- being bombarded by the shameless begging of her house's committee members to join a certain sport or other.

I felt useless.

I felt dejected.

I felt so unjustified.

How could they be so presumptuous?

I don't know...

Then came along the third strike:

The Interhouse field events(long jump, high jump, shot putt, javelin etc).

This time round, I had pretty much given up hope.

All I did was sit in class and listen to the droning teachers.

Time passed as more house committee members ran hither and thither, once again looking for team players.

And what a surprise, somebody actually came up to me.

She asked whether I could(not wanted) join tug-of-war.

Well, the reasons were obvious weren't they?

I gave her the most nonchalant "maybe" that I could muster.

She then proceeded with a continuous line of pleading before I said "I'll try".

Hmph. The nerve of these people!

Of course I had no mind in not joining.
Tug-of-war was something I had fun with in my previous school.

Then the day of the competition arrived.
It was after school and everyone was congregating on our school field, some running to and fro to find their missing team members, others doing the rest of the field events.
I saw some people throwing shot putts in one corner so I just headed on over to see what they were up to.
Tug-of-war was going to be the last event so I had to find some time to kill.

Shot putt.
Each house could only take a maximum of two players.
The thing was, one of the participants for yellow house(my house) was missing, so, I asked the remaining yellow house participant whether I could be a replacement, the opportunity would go to waste otherwise.
And so she helped by asking the teacher to sub me in.
Huh, what was I really expecting anyway?
The teacher ignored her.
Multiple times my friend repeated her question, and multiple times she was ignored.
Y'know, I would have been fine with it had I not seen that she was acting out on favouritism.
Another house wanted to change their participants and oh yes, she gave them a chance.
She was obviously one of the teachers in charge for that particular house.
How openly "house-ist"(new word brother came up with) can a person get!? And she's a frigging teacher.

As for tug-of-war, I wasted my day waiting for the event.
They didn't have enough time so they had to postpone it.
Needless to say, I got home bitter and just mentally exhausted.
Within the next few days, a house committee member came and told me the replacement time for tug-of-war.
I ignored it and avoided going.

Sigh.
Am I the one that's at the wrong?
Is my perception of what things are really supposed be like misguided?
I don't know.

Sometimes I wonder how the students learn etiquette and moral values when the teachers themselves are examples of outright discourtesy and bias(not all but most)?

It's unfair.
That's all I can say.
Doesn't matter now how much I complain or point these things out.
Nothing'll change, so I'll just have to live with it till I graduate.

You know, I admit I'm not one of the best daughters out there, not even close.
Sometimes I don't help around much, sometimes I don't bring back the grades like I promised I would and sometimes I screw up.

The moment I do something wrong, I would've thought that what I've actually done right would have held a little ground.
No, it didn't, doesn't... and it never has.
What I've done to make you proud would just be disregarded.

You wonder why I shout?
It's not because I think that by raising my voice, my answer would ultimately be the right one. No.
It's because you never gave me a chance to defend myself.
You never gave me a chance, never just listened a while so that I could voice why I did what I did.
Just because you are my parent(s), your word is the law.
Well, one thing: The law is not always right.

Don't you think I know when I've done something wrong?
Don't you think I regret doing things that hurt you?
Don't you think that sometimes, I wish I hadn't made you mad?
Don't you ever think that I feel my heart being crushed when you tell me you're disappointed in me?

I doubt so.

I'm growing, I have my own opinions.
I'm no longer that little girl that used to love being tucked into bed.
No longer that little girl who said thanks to you for every little thing you did for her.
No longer that little girl who listened to your every bloody word.

When you scold or shout or tell me off, I'd be so infuriated.
In my head, I'm screaming at you, telling you to shut the hell up because I know what I did and you shouting at me won't change it.
I say something to defend myself and what do I get? Backlash.
Who were the ones who taught me how to stand up for myself I wonder?

It's never a good feeling when you fight with a parent.

Half the time, you feel rage. Hatred even.

The other half, you spend feeling guilty because how can a person feel so much hatred for the people who gave you life?

You know, I'm sorry.

Sorry for being an opinionated person.

Sorry for being someone "who takes advantage of others".

Sorry for being a "demon".

Most of all, I'm sorry I even had to write this.

I'm Blissfully In Love... With The Holidays!

Hello one and all.
I have come to announce the reemergence of updated posts on this blog.
Probably my longest hiatus thus far, 3 bloody months(Well, you might spot some drafted-posts in between, but whatevaaah).
Hmm, where have I been, I hear you ask?*Crickets chirp*
Good to know some people care to know where I have been!*Grave silence*
Pfft, who am I kidding.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of having an awesome holiday.
I'm leaning back against my bed at 3am, aircondition at full blast with a brand "new" laptop in my lap(by "new" I mean totally secondhand).
Things don't get much better than this.
Or maybe it can, and maybe it has!

Tadaaaaaa. I managed to watch Supernatural Season 6 completely, losing track of time and sleeping at 7 in the morning. 'Twas awesome.

They(especially the one in the middle) are too friggin' good looking.

Somebody take me to them!

Digressing.

If you think I've been spending my holidays drooling over glistening(not exactly exposed in the series) abs and gorgeous looks, you're very much wrong. Please kick yourself in the butt for thinking so because you thought of me as a lazy fangirl(Which I most definitely am not!).

I have also been working! Heehee.

As a journalist for The Star...R.age.

Okay, maybe not "been working", "have worked" would be more accurate.

At the beginning of the hols, I with 2 other BRATs(Bright Roving Annoying Teens) were asked to participate in the Youth Nation Summit 2011.
Some sort of program to help youth leaders achieve their goals in making Malaysia and to some further extent, the world, a better place.
After all, we are Generation Y.
Or more accurately, Generation Y not?!

The Youth Nation Summit was a four day event held at University Malaya(Last day was held at 1 World Hotel).
I could only make it for two days, which was such a waste if the feedback were to be believed.

Met a whole bunch of VIPs- Marina Mahathir and Joel Neoh (CEO of Groupon) were among them.
At least I was there to cover the 4th day!
It was the most important day, since our Prime Minister was going to be in attendance.
There were a hell lot more media people than the other 3 days, but we were definitely the youngest and most acquainted with the delegates and secretariats.
The fact that we were the youngest people there made my pride inflate a wee bit. Hehe.
I'm 17 and I've already seen the Prime Minister twice(in person that is)! LOLOL. *Cough*
Not a big deal.

We had lunch with the 300+ delegates and the PM.
I was seated with a bunch of random people and I had no idea what to talk to them about, but once one of us began talking, the rest of us just couldn't stop!
The table was certainly a colourful one.
There was a man from China(nice dude), an Egyptian(even nicer dude who doesn't like Malaysian food! Of all the bull-), an Indonesian lady(she's a super sweet girl), some guy from God knows where(smiles a lot), two Malaysian girls(3 if you count me) + me and Tristan(both Chinese Filipino:P).
SO 1MALAYSIA LAH. So mixed!
Also once again we were the youngest; everyone seemed to be above 20.
The only reason I keep harping on my age is because I wanna feel younger alright?
*Sigh* My best years are flying past me...(Okay, maybe I'm saying this 15 years too early. Eheh.)

One more thing.
A quote that keeps reciting itself in my head thanks to one of the speakers of the Youth Nation Summit -Steve McCoy(I like his accent, super British!).

Don't change the world. Change the way we change the world!

Dear readers -or lack thereof.
It's been a loooooong while since I last updated and I can't blame you for bailing on this pathetic already 4/5-of-the-way-dead-blog.
So I might as well be talking to myself...

I would love to show you all pictures of how life has been to me the past couple of months but the photo uploader is being a bitch.
So, it's obvious that the following post will be word diarrhoea from yours truly. Hehe. (I can hear the clicks of the mouse already... STAY RIGHT THERE... Please?)

We had an assessment in school about a month ago.
Didn't do too well, didn't really care. I are who I are!
Uh... anyway, I think I'd just type out the essay I wrote for my English test.
That should be enough words to make anyone want to hurl. Nyehehe.
Got highest but it wasn't the best I could do.
In fact... I thought it was lame and flat. LOL.
Ahh, thus is the work of someone who wasn't in the mood to write during the given moment.
(Please God, give me the "writing mood" when I sit for English during SPM)

"Write a story ending with : Now I realize the value of a true friend."

Sixteen years old, that was when my perfectly normal teenage life collapsed and crumbled around me. I was a hopeful child. I thought that I had a bright future ahead of me and that the obstacles that got in the way would play an insignificant part in the bigger plan I called my life. My friends all knew what I wanted to be; I was to become an actress... Or so I thought.

On that fateful day that changed my life forever, everything started out with the ringtone of my phone. The song roused me from my slumber and I reluctantly picked up the phone.

"Hello?" It was Athena, my bestfriend "Sierra, are you there?
"Yeah." I mumbled"
"Well, I can tell I just woke you up." She stated. "I just wanted to remind you that prom is tonight and you promised me you'd go! No take backs, okay? Okay!"

She hung up before I could complain, she knew me too well. It was the day of prom. The day when most seniors and juniors alike dressed to impress, to show of their style and to flaunt what they have. I - on the other hand - had no wish to dress up for a meaningless dress party, I would have much rather picked up a notebook and continue writing the script for a movie I wanted to create once I made my mark in the acting industry. Athena did make a good argument though, saying that if I wanted to be an actress, going to parties like this would be an everyday affair. With that point given, I had no choice but to heave a sigh and agree to go.

That night, my father offered to drive me to the hotel prom was held at. Dress on, make up perfect, I entered the car and off we went. The roads were surprisingly empty. The few cars that were on the road seemed to belong to party goers as most of them sped by with blaringly loud music. Further down the road, there was a cross junction. My father slowed down and was about to take a left turn. In a flurry of seconds, a speeding SUV lost control and crashed directly into our car, head on. I felt the force of impact. The whole front of the car was crushed beyond recognition. I smelt something metallic in the air: blood. I looked to the right, my father was saved by the airbag but the impact knocked him unconscious. The next instant, I felt an excruciating pain in my legs and then nothing. Nothing but numbness and soon after, I drifted into a deep sleep.

The next thing I know, I woke up in a hospital. Nobody was in the room with me. The sensation in my fingers began to come back, but I still felt nothing in my toes. I tried moving my legs, it felt lighter, as if nothing was attached. My eyes widened as the sudden realization came to me. I screamed.

I screamed and cried hysterically. My parents rushed into the room. Both of them hugged me, but all I could think of was that my future was gone. My dream I worked so hard at died the instant I woke up from my comatose state. I cried for hours in the arms of my parents. I cried until I could cry no more and fell asleep from exhaustion.

The following days, Athena came into the room often. She looked at me with saddened eyes every time, but her lips put on a smile. Everyday she would tell me:

" You still have your dream." She said to me, as if she could read my mind.

I had no will to argue with her anymore. I had no will to live. I was a wheelchair-bound-actress-wannabe. Nobody needed that.

One day, when I was well enough to be home, Athena visited me again. This time, she was beaming from ear to ear. She walked to me and handed me an envelope.

"This is for you" She said happily.

I looked at her and back at the envelope. Opening it, the first words I saw were, 'Congratulations, you have got the part of Theresa Meyer.'

My heart pounded. "Is... this what I think it is?" I practically shouted.

Athena nodded. "Yup." Beaming brightly, she continued. "Theresa Meyer is a role in the movie called Trip. She's a small role, but you got it."

"But, how?" Tears began rolling down my cheeks.
"I wrote in to every agent I could find. EVERYONE of them."

So this is how it ends, and now I realize the value of a true friend.

Lol, yeah yeah.
It's a total load of bull. The ending especially.
The teacher was already collecting the papers and it was all I could do to just scribble out the last few sentences as they came to mind before she reached my seat.
Hahaha, you should've seen my handwriting at the end of the essay.

Well, that's that.

February = No Point In Dieting

I can tell no one really bothers with this blog anymore.
After all, how could they if I , myself -owner of this here blog- doesn't either?
Anywho, many things have happened since the dry spell began(by dry spell I mean lack of updates) and the one reason I couldn't write anything in this godforsaken space of mine is because I literally could not type out my thoughts. Literally.
I don't know how he did it, but my father broke the keyboard.
He didn't care to buy a new one, plainly because there was an on-screen keyboard that we could use in the meantime.
To put it shortly, we didn't require the immediate replacement of a real keyboard.

Since it's been a little over two months(understatement) since my last update, I think this warrants a rundown of what has been missed.
This time, I've got a few pictures(my mother got a camera for Christmas!), so worry not fellow readers!(If, in fact, there are still any T.T)

24th of January - Mom's Birthday
31st of January - Bubbles' Birthday
31st of January - Got My PSP
3rd of February - Chinese New Year

22nd of February till present time - Outings, Tennis, Choir, Assessments (Will not be elaborated)

January 24

My family has this tradition of blowing out the candles of the cake at exactly twelve midnight(the minute our birthday starts)

So we always buy a cake the day before the actual birthday.

Too bad for my mom, my father and siblings couldn't stay up long enough so we just broke the tradition this one time and saved it for the next morning.

Can you imagine having a cake right there in the fridge and you can't eat it!?

My mother decided she couldn't wait anymore, so the next morning she forced my brother and myself(we were already dressed in our school uniform all geared for school) to sing her the birthday song so we could all eat the cake.

So impatient!

Well, I couldn't blame her.

Looking at the cake now I feel like I'm about to salivate.

The words were supposed to be "Lotsaluv, Your Babies" btw, but the person at the bakery wrote "Lotsalur" =.=

January 31

Exactly one week after my mother's birthday, my sister celebrated her's.

Leaving behind the life of single digits forever!

It means she turned 10.
Guess what she got for her special day?

A Polaroid camera.

Her expression obviously says it all.

"*GASP* YOU REALLY GOT ME A POLAROID CAMERA!?"

(She's been wanting a Polaroid camera for the longest time fyi)

I'M 17 AND EVEN I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA YET.

And once again, the same people from the same bakery made the same mistake.

I made extra sure this time that my "v" didn't look like an "r"(Not that it did in the first place.) but still, they made the mistake.

Went for dinner in Subang and got an unexpected call from somebody.

The person who was in charge of the Comic Fiesta Side Quest.

He said he finally got the PSP I won from the side quest and that he was gonna meet up with me to hand it over! :D

Heehee, looks like my sister wasn't the only one who got a present that day! :P

(Funny, I look like I'm wearing lip gloss and foundation. Oh the powers of a good camera!)

Chinese New Year.

Worst New Year of my life.

I shan't elaborate any further.

February 7

Exactly one week after my sister's birthday, my father celebrated his birthday.

I know right?

The first 3 birthdays of my family are all one week apart.

It wasn't an eventful day since my father doesn't like celebrating.

February 14

Valentine's Day!

It was one of the best Valentine's Days I've had.

I got to school and sat in the assembly hall and one of my friends came up to me and gave me a plastic bag with a Wondermilk cupcake!

It was a nice surprise.(A yummy one to be more precise)

Classes commenced as usual.

Got to class and another of my friends came up to me and gave me something covered up in cute wrapping paper. Opened it up to find a thick beaded necklace.

Everyone who saw it instantly thought, "Are those prayer beads?"

LOL.

Besides that, I also got a small parcel from another friend in which was the cutest pencil I've ever seen.

It was red and had a tiny white heart at the top. Super cute(x

It was starting to feel like Christmas again.

Halfway through the day, people in charge of the cupcake sale in school came into class one by one, each holding boxes piled high of pre-ordered cupcakes.

I got a cupcake from a not-so anonymous person called "Sexy Lady" with the message "I'm Sexy" HAHAHAHA.

I knew it was from my bestie all along but it was just so funny. LOL.

February 15

Had my Chinese Birthday on this day.(12th day of the Chinese New Year)

Weee! Lotsa birthdays this month and to go along with them are cakes!

My mother bought me a lil' cupcake just for fun.

February 21

My special day!

The day would've been perfect if my bestfriend didn't decide to ditch me AND if it wasn't the day all the seniors had to do the health test(Best birthday present ever=.=)

Well, either way, my friends more than made up for her absence(x

I can't exactly recall who wished me first but one thing I remember was going into the toilet early in the morning and being greeted by a bunch of people(Some I didn't even know).

Hahaha!

Of all places, the toilet?

Lots of hugs and wishes later, the day continued with our Health Test.

I can say confidently that I did really well.

I can ALSO say that I finally grew taller(as measured by the teacher)! Woohoo!!!

I digress.

After getting back to class I saw a big, nicely designed message on the blackboard.

It said "Happy Birthday Tanisha!"

I was secretly smiling to myself, thinking how sweet that was.

It may be a small gesture but it really made me happy.

After all, I was a new student at the school and expecting anything more than anyone even remembering my birthday would be a notch too high.

To add to that, as soon as my English teacher came into class, Nisha(a friend who incidentally has a name that is practically the same as mine) asked the teacher to allow the class to sing me a birthday song(In secret of course).

I was really caught off guard when everyone started singing for me.

Pretty sure I blushed too.

As an extra gift, my English teacher gave us a free period and asked a few students to perform for me a dance and song(x

Of course they were shy, but my friend did sing a song just for me! Aww....

These little gestures meant so much to me. I was bursting at the seams with glee(x

Here Comes 2011

Christmas and New Year celebrations are over and I haven't gotten a chance to wish everyone the season's greetings.
So, Merry ~~veryverybelated~~ Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone reading this(:

I've been very busy with all the preparations and other such things.
I have to say that I'm my busiest during December.
Amongst all the preparations and the like, I had gatherings with friends, family dinners and random trips around .
It's just one hectic month.
I can't say I'm complaining.
It's all in good fun!

I say good riddance to 2010!

The worst year I've had my whole life thus far.

Maybe I will elaborate on it in another post soon, before it loses relevance.

Now that all that's over, I will hopefully be more free.
Okay, maybe I wont be that free.
It is after all my senior year this year!
Tomorrow's the last first day of high school I'll have.
It's a bittersweet feeling; Excited for the new year in school and sad it's gonna be the last.
What I'm worried about most now is the major exam at the end of the year... SPM!

Comic Fiesta 2010!!!

I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that many people around -and even outside of- Malaysia have heard of Comic Fiesta.

After all, it is Malaysia's biggest annual ACG(Anime, Comics and Games) event.
It's the event where you'd find hoards of otakus(anime fanatics) ~~stalking~~admiring cosplayers(costume players) everywhere.
I thought it sounded like too much fun to be skipping such a huge event.
Plus, it was being covered by some of my BRATs buddies for the Star newspaper.

Admittedly, this was my first time attending Comic Fiesta in the 8 years(or am I wrong?) they've been going on.

Sad to say as I am somewhat of an anime fan as well, just not that hardcore.

I went onto the Comic Fiesta forum to find out what was there to look forward to and something promising popped up: Comic Fiesta Side Quest!

What we had to do was pretty simple.

They gave us a ~~long~~list of quests and we had to complete them. Sounded easy enough.

A team could comprise of no more than 5 people and my initial thought was, Tristan and I would suffice!
After all, I just thought of it as a way to have fun, not like I was hellbent on completing(some quests seemed almost impossible to complete.)

I was wrong... about it being easy, about how I thought only two of us were enough and how I thought I wouldn't even bother spending my time completing it.

Looking at it, I thought, it'd be impossible for me to finish.
But heck, I wanted to give it a try.
They were gonna be giving away badges for each subquest we finished:D
AND SO, I decided to join.

DAY 1
On the first day of Comic Fiesta, my bro and I met up with Kim at the LRT station.
My phone was going on the whole day(battery didn't even last a day, much less my credit.)

Took the LRT to KL Sentral and joined Aaron and Jon(Missed them like heck, haven't seen them in months).
And off to Times Square!
Arriving on location, I knew the event was being held on the 14th floor, but the 14th floor is generally one humongous floor.
So, we rode the elevator up not knowing what to expect... the doors opened...
and the first things I see are cosplayers!
YES, what better sign to tell us we were in the right place.
Follow the cosplayers we did, they were sure to know their way around.

Arriving at 11(which was when CF started) was a stupid idea.
The queue at the tickets counter was -to put it bluntly- abso~~fucking~~lutely long.
My dearest brother lined up for a whole 30 minutes just to get the tickets for us.
10 of us altogether plus 2 extra for myself and brother for Day 2.

EJ, his two cousins and Egan(who I might add, is always a couple of hours late) joined us a little while later.
Guess what they did while my brother patiently waited in the queue for the tickets?
Monster Hunter on the PSP...

I can't believe they sat on the floor to play while waiting for the tickets=.=

Anywho, the Official opening started and Kim, myself and Tristan went in to scout out the place for interesting things~~besides the cosplayers~~.

The rest of the boys decided to go to Starbucks to continue their game(I look down upon you!!!~~Only because my PSP's dead and I couldn't join you...~~)

Walked through the artist booths, saw so many things I wanted, bought a few(*sigh* money restraints!)

At 1pm, I registered for the side quest with my brother.

Since Kim tagged along, she ended joining our team too -thank God for that because she was amazing with her camera!*Snap snap snap!*

We registered under the name "Ferocious" at first but then I thought it was a little too feminine(Brother was in the team, thought I'd give him some peace of mind. Haha!) so I changed it to "Rebellion" instead.

You're reading my blog, you should know why. Hehe.

After registration, we went on a photo frenzy.

We took pictures of practically everything we saw.

Drawing some nonsense just to get a free poster. I'm such a cheapskate. HAHA.

Tristan trying out some racing game because apparently, the person with the fastest time would win a laptop.

He tried... and failed. It was harder than it looked.

While running around, we heard the MC announce(numerous times) that there was going to be a lucky draw in which an extremely lucky person could walk away with an Ipad.

All we had to do was to drop our details at some booth.

What was the harm in that right?

We dropped our details and headed off to do the side quest again.

Well, if you read the Achievements List, you'd have seen a quest in which we needed to join an art competition.

Participate in Art Competition (+10) under Here And Counted For

That was exactly what we did!

Glad I did too 'cause I had fun designing the NIPS logo:D

Apparently so did my brother and Kim(too bad I didn't have a picture of her art).

Here was my simple design. I had no plan all right?! I just drew what came.

Here's my brother's. HE on the other hand had it all planned out.

I didn't have enough time to really do a good job of my NIPS copic design because I had to get ready by 6 for the lucky draw.

I quickly finished it and headed to the main hall and awaited the draw.

Many people -who had signed up for the lucky draw- had already left(the hall was still really full) and so they lost out on the prizes.

Shaun(the MC): *Says name, HP number and IC* Are you in the hall? Giving you five seconds to come and get your prize!
Crowd: Burn burn burn burn burn!!!
Shaun: Not here? Buuuuurn!

Shaun: *says name of a girl and her HP number* Eh, guys, quickly remember her number, she might be hot!

HAHAHA. What an idiot!

He's so damn funny.

Anyway, none of us won anything from the lucky draw, if not I would be way too busy using my Ipad to be blogging. Hehe!

Oh well, day one of the lucky draw didn't go in my favour, maybe day two would!(But more on that later)

Amidst the chaos of everything going on, we managed to take a couple of camwhore pictures:P

By this time around, I took the side quest seriously since I found out what we were going to win if we had the most points.

Apparently, we weren't supposed to know but my brother and I somehow overheard someone without even realizing it.

Tristan: We're gonna win a PSP!
Me: Yeah, I know. IF we win.
Sidequest Master: Wait... How do you know?!
Tristan: Some guy told me I think.
Me: I thought we all knew what the prize was*O.O*
Sideqeust Master: NO, who the f*ck told you?! Who the f*ck...
Tristan: Some guy that was in charge here?
Side quest Master: I'm gonna go find him and *censor censor*

HAHAHAHA. His reaction was priceless man.

Almost like we spoiled a surprise he had been planning for the longest time...(Wait a minute, I think that's exactly what we did)

In any case, I hope for the sake of the unknown blabber mouth that he isn't found out or he's in for some serious trouble. LOL

So we went home with 8 badges in hand -all along my brothers bag strap if we're speaking literally.
Not bad for a day's work eh?

I have to mention this guy who tried doing the whole sidequest solo.
Thus, earning him the name SoloKing.
On the first day alone he got 12 badges! I have no idea how that happened... but he did it.
Obviously, my brother and I thought of him as our ultimate opponent. LOL.
Okay, maybe not that seriously since up till the moment I learned what was in it for us, I pretty much went into it half heartedly.
I don't regret it one bit though.
It was just way too fun.
It took up pretty much all our time just trying to complete a few quests:D
I like being busy rather than to be stoning mind you.

Anyway, it's 6.51 in the morning and I haven't slept yet, so I'll come back later in the day to edit this post on Day Two.

Day 2
On Day 2, my father was free to drive us to Times Square.
Kim couldn't make it so we had make do with my handphone camera(a measly 3megapixel Sony Ericsson)
This time, we were smart enough to reach before 11.
It didn't really make a difference though because the ticketing counter was practically empty(everyone must've bought their tickets on Day 1, like me and Tristan did)
Met up with Andrew and lucky for him, he didn't have to line up 30minutes(like how Tristan had to) just to buy the tickets.

First thing we did after buying Andrew's ticket was head over to the Side Quest counter to complete the Attended achievement and get the badge.
So that was 9 achievement badges we got, which in turn earned us the Hero achievement badge.(To complete the Hero badge, we needed 8 achievement badges excluding the Adventurer badge)
Two in one!

Wanted: Macross (+8)

Thank God, Andrew was a crazed otaku, if not for him, I don't think I'd have found the last picture for the Series Hunter achievement so early in the day.

It's not my fault I don't watch Macross D:

All we were lacking now were Participate in Cosplay Competition (+10) and Participate in a Stage Game (+10) to complete all given quests under the Hunter and Zealot Achievements.

Since neither one of us(Tristan and myself) were cosplayers and the likely chance of us participating in a stage game was close to none, we went with the next best thing... members recruitment!

My brother spotted this guy talking to Pam before, so he went up to him and asked him to join our group.

No shame man. HAHA.

His name's Mirza, very...very friendly dude.

For the Stage Game achievement, we stole the guy in the middle. :P

He's Edward-you-can-call-me-Tiger-if-you-want.

Yes, he said I could call him Tiger...

I like these people not just because they helped us complete all quests under the Hunter and Zealot achievements but because they were so willing to help us even when we came out of the blue and dragged them to the Side Quest counter for registration.

They're just so friendly:D

Now we had to pay attention the 4 remaining quests.

These 4 were only unlocked once we completed everything else, so obviously they were gonna be harder.

What we had to do: Find WildDrive, if we didn't know who WildDrive was, find Kira Neko and she would tell us.

The Side Quest committee gave us 4 faced down cards to choose from, each with a different symbol on the front representing the different quests.

The first one we picked was Friend Of The Arts.

Among the 4 quests, I have to say, this was by far the one that took the most time.

We didn't know who WildDrive was and to find her looking like she did on the poster above was highly unlikely(read: Cosplayers change costumes all the time) so what we did was opt to find Kira Neko first.

She was the head of the art department so the obvious place to find her was the artist booths.

Running through the rows of booths -which were extremely cramped full with people, I may add- didn't do any good.

We decided to ask the artists for information and I managed to get KiraNeko's number.

Me: Helllooo? KiraNeko? I'm Tisha and I'm doing the side quest thing...
KiraNeko: Uh, okay yes?
Me: Where are you?
KiraNeko: Oh, okay, I'm in Bronx Two outside the main hall.

I bet she didn't expect a call for something like this. Haha!

Off to Bronx Two we went.

I have no idea what she was doing in there -probably hiding I bet- 'cause she was the only one there besides one volunteer who seemed busy with a computer.

Anyway, she asked us a few questions and we had to correctly answer them if she was to tell us who and where WildDrive was.

Q: What is the status of the artist booths?
A: Some are relaxing, some are busy?
Q: Okay, what are they doing?
A: Playing PSPs!
Q: So what game are the playing?
A: Err...(everyone in the hall was pretty much playing Monster Hunter...) MH?
Q: Smart! Okay, last question, Coffy and Tea are part of what animal.
A: FOX!
Q: Correct! Some people think they're part cat.

All questions answered, she told us where she was and even sent us a picture of her pre-cosplay.

There was this game going on Facebook where we "like" a person's status and they would tell us certain things they thought or knew about us.

Well, I was some parts bored, some parts curious, so I thought, "why not?".

All I had to do was click a single button and leave it up to whoever posted the status to write whatever they wanted to.

Two Down, Both Wasted

Today's been a very disappointing day.
Not only did I miss the first ever Facebook party from Sony Music Malaysia, I also missed out on the BRATs Games of Death.
I was torn between the two because both sounded so fun:\

The first, I would be meeting up with old friends and making new ones while having fun with sports. I especially wanted to go because of the games they were playing: Basketball, tug-of-war, track events, volleyball and soccer.
I represented my school in some of those so I obviously wanted to try them again.
Basketball, volleyball and tug-of-war particularly.

The second, I'd be meeting new people and seeing the faces behind Sony Music Malaysia - The company behind amazing musicians like Adam Lambert, Michael Jackson, David Archuleta etc.
Not only that, I would have a chance of winning goodies from them. Artiste albums, calendars and the such.
Only those with invitations were allowed to participate. I had the invitations so I didn't want them to go to waste either!

The invitation I got through email.

So, two great events, one choice.
I chose the Facebook party.
I got all dressed up and rearing to go.
It was a smooth ride.... for the first 5 kilometres!
The car died right outside my neighbourhood. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
Of all the damned days!

Sigh.
Well, in case you skipped reading the whole first paragraph(Why would you!?).... I didn't go for either.
I had a whole day planned just to have it backfire!
What's more, after I got over being annoyed, irritable and somewhat upset because I didn't attend either of the events, I read the feedback and as expected, BOTH events were absolute fun.
FUN that I missed.

Sorry for being whiny and all.
I'm just feeling very frustrated.

Ah, what's meant to be is meant to be.
No point in crying over spilt milk.
Let bygones be bygones.

A Dream... Or Was It?

I had a dream.
A lucid dream I wish I finished.

Everything moved so slowly.
I stood alone on an empty field, gravel beneath my feet.
An expanse of red and brown.
A shadow loomed over me.
I felt curious. Almost scared.
I leaned my head back far enough to see behind me.
A tall scaffolding? Here?
I wasn't given a chance to comprehend anything but that,
before I noticed a metal bar falling,
pointed tip aimed directly at me.
It fell slowly, giving the impact of impending death that much more meaning.
There was no time to run, maybe I just didn't want to.
All I did was close my eyes.
Welcoming whatever was going to happen.
It went right through me.
And I was killed.
I felt nothing.
I died feeling nothing.
I thought that was the end.
It was dark and cold
My eyes saw nothing.
I waited...
What was I still doing here?
A while more and I finally felt something different.
I was floating. Was I headed to the after-death?
I blinked and found myself immersed in a dark blue, semi-liquid mass.
It felt like water, only it was harder to swim through.
What was this?
I felt so light.
The liquid was cool against my skin.
It was comforting.
Curiosity got the better of me.
If I was dead, this must be the in-between.
Maybe I was supposed to find my way?
And so I swam.
I swam and swam without any destination in mind.
I wanted to explore this endless void of dark blue.
Where would I go, if I just kept swimming?
And then...
I saw a light.
It felt warm, comforting, beautiful even.
I inched closer, right hand extended...
Ready to be taken to someplace new...

And I woke up(or was woken up by someone, I can't recall).
It was already late in the afternoon.
My mind whirled with the idea of the possibility that that was what after-death really felt like.
And that was it.
Now it's just a dream.
The most vivid dream I have ever had and one I wont forget soon(well, it is on this blog).

Stop Child Abuse

On most days, when we open the newspapers, we can expect to receive awful news.

Among those, the term "child abuse" would sometimes arise.

It's a horrendous term and something I personally despise.

When you read these cruel things the children have endured(or for some... couldn't), you can't help but wish ill against the offender.

I have a little sister who's only 9.

Everyday, she would greet me when I wake up. She has such a good sense of humour too.

Some children don't get the privilege of waking up to a new day anymore. Some don't have the will to laugh.

When news of a child being abused -physically, psychologically and/or sexually- spreads, I can't help but feel helpless.

All I could do was be thankful that it wasn't my sister or anyone of my younger relatives who was the victim.

We hear of how strangers, uncles and sometimes even the fathers of the children abuse them.
The worst kind is sexual abuse.
Grown women who are abused that way find it a horrifying ordeal.
How would a child be able to cope with it then?
They will be scarred for life and at such a tender age.
It's sickening, just the thought of it.

I don't understand how a human being can be so evil as to take advantage of their innocence.

Only monsters would do such a thing.

Children were given to us by the hand of God. NO ONE, has the right to use them as they please.

Any form of child abuse should never happen. Ever.
But it still does, and all we can do now is try and stop it.
We should be their protectors, their guardians.
So raise your hand and stop child abuse!

I've grown into a very inactive blogger nowadays.

I remember when I just started out how I would've kicked myself in the butt if I missed a day of posting something new, no matter how trivial.

That would be the difference between the past-blogger-me and the present-blogger-me.

Okay, maybe I'm not so inactive since Twitter IS a form of blogging right? Microblogging!

I'm pretty active in that now:D

Thanks in no small part to the BRATs program I joined(I still haven't updated on Days 2-4. Hehehe).

Anyway, my bloggie must've been really angry with me because my blog design(or the site hosting it) contracted malware! D:
So I was forced to change and edit a whole new design for it.
I liked my previous design so much more, but I guess this current one will have to do until I find something better.
The only reason I chose this design was because of the Twitter bird, it's so cute;)

That aside, I need ideas on what to write for this blogs now.
I mean, people don't wanna hear every little detail of my life nor will I blog about it.
Suggestions?

Maybe since I am a gamer and I always watch movies, I could write reviews.
Amateur reviews but still...

Paramore Live In KL!

I know I'm late in posting on the Paramore's concert I attended last month.
~~I'm an irresponsible blogger!~~
So here's the long overdue post. :P

I got two Rockzone tickets from 8tv Nite Live.
I obviously brought my brother along 'cause apparently, my parents aren't comfortable sending me into a huge crowd without him. Haha.
~~They almost didn't send me for the Glam Nation concert 'cause I only had one ticket.~~

Anyway, 6 years of touring and only now have they come to Malaysia.
About time too!

I have to say that the concert was crazy.
8000 people jumped and screamed and hung on to Hayley's every word.
Everybody sang along to EVERY song they threw at us.
It was amazing!

Yeah, that would be me and my brother. LOL.

We were that close to the stage. And we were late too!

Well, it was partially thanks to the wild crowd who kept pushing and shoving, we had no choice but to squish through to the front.

We were practically drenched in our own sweat by the end of the first song.

The opening was the best!

Especially when you're in the rockzone and everyone's jumping around and screaming.

Okay, honestly, I almost got into a fight with two ball-less bastards. And the thing was, I knew one of them(he was the ex boyfriend of an acquaintance of mine)! WTHLOL.

I was just pushing back so that they don't suffocate me to death and they got pissed off, the guy that I knew was about to punch me. Haha. What a bastard!

I was so close to punching them in the face, honestly. I hurt people when I feel offended.

How dare you treat me like that?

What are you? Some gangster?

Luckily when they saw me, after the initial rise of anger, they chose to move away a little. Hah, ball-less.

That aside, if you've watched the videos, you can hear so clearly the way the crowd sang along.

It was a proud moment, we blew Paramore away all right.

If only America can see this now...

Hayley said that sometime in the middle of the concert.

Heck yeah, we were that crazy!

Well, I have to say that Hayley can really get a crowd going!

She was super energetic.

Hayley was really interactive with the audience and that got the crowd wild.

I was I little upset that I didn't even get a single guitar pick from Taylor. ):

Damn, but the experience was good enough.

I now know that next time I go for a rock concert IN the Rockzone, I have to have ample sleep AND have a decent meal before attending something as physically draining as a Paramore concert.

I hadn't slept for around 22 hours and hadn't eaten when I went to the concert. LOL.

Suicidal move.

But it was all A-okay because Paramore was just so worth it!

It has to be the most exhausting yet energetic, jump-until-your-legs-break concert I have ever attended.

It all ended with a pretty cascade of petals.

The concert was great, but you've gotta be ready for a concert like this.

I for one wasn't, I admit.

It was all good either way!

Thinking Too Much Is A Bad Thing

Since I haven't updated this unfortunate ~~to be owned by me~~ bloggie in a while, I've decided(as you can see) to kill time by doing so.
A warning though, this post could be a rant further down the lines, I don't know yet 'cause I don't plan what I write(call it a skill of mine. Heh.)

Ever since restarting school last month, I've had this nagging feeling of just giving up studying.
Contrary to my nature of never wanting to give up.
It's a stupid thing to think... but after a while of just sitting in class and trying but failing to understand what the teachers are saying, I just figured it's a little too late to even try.

It's been on my mind for the longest time.
My finals are almost over, so why the hell am I still thinking about it?
I'm failing a few subjects, I just know it.
Never have I ever cared much about my studies, I'm just not one to stick my nose in books when the exams near.
I still manage to score at average a couple of As without studying till an hour before the exam 'cause I really didn't give a damn.
But now... after dropping out of school for part of the year, I feel downright hopeless.

I just wonder what was the point of studying?
Really, wth is the point of learning differentiation in add math or the digestive system of a freakin' cow?
Might as well just pick up my guitar and busk, at least I'll be gaining some money.

I've slowly but surely lost total interest in the field of science.
Largely due to the teachers I have now and partially due to the time I spent school-less.
I've wanted to be a cardiologist for a while.
I wanted to be one so I could help my cousin.
I used to be so enthusiastic about it.
But now, I've lost all my drive.

I'd like to think of myself as more of an artistic person as opposed to a technical person.
All I love is music, writing and drawing.
So, I really think I've made a mistake :\

This is what happens when you've been given too much time to think.
I know some would say that I've just wasted my time when I could've helped myself while I was still out of school.
That's whole thing though isn't it?
I'm not willing enough for myself.
I don't know what I'm working for.
So WHY should I waste my time doing something I'm not passionate about?

Huh. Identity crisis?
Just screw it.

Adam Lambert Glam Nation Tour!

16,000 fans(as newspapers say) were at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil a few days ago.
I was one of them, thank God for that!
All of us were there for the Gorgeous Glam God Glambert(Adam Lambert lah)!
Even the protesters were there because of him, but who gives a flying fuck about them anyway? (Sorry for the beautiful words. They pissed me off.)
I'm not even gonna waste time talking about them anymore because insignificant bigots don't deserve to be talked about. Laughed at? Maybe.(Should've seen how pathetic their "group" of protesters were. Look elsewhere for photos 'cause I don't wanna pollute my blog with pictures of stupidity.)

That aside!
I'll tell you now, it wasn't easy getting there on time!
The freakin' jam was crazy, but who the hell cares right?(*cough*My father...he was driving*cough*)
This is Adam Lambert.

I went into the Pit Zone and there was already a big crowd at the front of the stage.
It didn't bother me much 'cause I'm usually one of those annoying people who slip through the crowd when everyone's jumping around so no one really notices. LOL
I lingered on the outlines a while, I couldn't do much anyway, the lights were all on so I couldn't sneak through the crowd in full view right? People would think I'm rudeD:
(Met a friend I hadn't seen in almost two years, she was to be my concert buddy for the rest of the night;))

People around were getting restless, so what did they do to entertain us a while longer?
Throw the huge Digi balls at us.
This was when everyone was distracted with the bouncy giant balls.
Que to swim through the crowd=P

Any who, once the light dimmed and the opening acts started, everyone began shouting.
I didn't expect to partially lose my hearing till Adam Lambert came out, but I was wrong.
The pent up excitement in everyone couldn't help screaming for our local opening acts too I guess. Haha.
Well, they weren't bad I have to say, not that I was expecting anything bad to come out of Adam's concert anyway.

We did a little more "We Want Adam" chants before THE Adam Lambert came out.(It didn't seem too long for me 'cause I was too excited. Haha)
He was gorgeous.♥
Dressed in a purple fur coat, black shirt, feathered top hat, leg hugging pants and lotsa glitter(It was a crazy outfit all right, look below for pics) he began his performance with 'Voodoo' and followed it by 'For Your Entertainment', I don't know about other zones but people at the Pit were singing their lungs out with him(:
His voice was just unbelievably amazing. How can someone sound better in person than in their recorded music?
Even if you're a hater, you wont be able to insult him for his talent(the only thing you haters can bank on is that he's gay. Sexists.)

Anyway, he continued on with 'Down The Rabbit Hole', 'Ring Of Fire' and 'Fever', slowly removing his coat and hat one after the other. Trying to seduce us while still staying clean? NAH. It must've real warm to wear that many layers while dancing;)
His dancers weren't as covered up as he was, all of them were so eye catching.
It goes without saying that his singing chops are the bomb and the way he danced was... cute(for lack of a better word). LOL
I was mesmerized all right.
Then there was the drums and dance segment while Adam went backstage for a change in outfit.

During the press conference, Adam said he was going to refrain from making one tiny kiss between him and his bassist Tommy.

So I guess we had to make do with a kiss to the crowd instead(:

Adam came out again decked in a long sleeved black coat, skinny leather pants and more glitter(my favourite outfit of the night) and began singing 'Sleepwalker'.
I personally loved this song. I was blown away by the intensity he sang the song with.
I just can't help gushing over the fact that he's such an amazing performer.
And he's a beautiful person, inside and out.

All the other heart rendering songs came after 'Whataya Want From Me'.
All very meaningful songs, 'Soaked', 'Broken Open' and 'Aftermath'.
I could swear people began crying when he sang 'Soaked' but the song that tugged at my heart strings was 'Aftermath'. Never have I EVER been moved close to tears when attending a concert(I've been to a few, not all that many, but still-!)

Before he started 'Surefire Winners', he did another wardrobe change and came out wearing a vest in replacement of his coat.

Way before that point in time, I already managed to make my way close to the front of The Pit(Just a few rows back) and right smack in the middle, so I decided to relax and watch the show in full view(:

(Note: I was wearing 3inch wedges and let's face it, Asians aren't exactly the tallest people in the world:P)

I felt pity for some guy behind me, he couldn't see anything so he to use a camera and raise it above my head. I accidentally hit the camera while clapping my hands the air. :O

Needless to say, I moved forward a little more. Lol.

Crazy Story, Taylor Lautner and Rambutans. WHAT!?

Okay, I know I haven't been updating.
I have no excuse now...
After months upon months of painstakingly dressing up, getting out of the house, walking to the cybercafe and paying with my(by that I mean my brother's. HAHA) money just to use a damn computer, my father finally decided to buy us a computer.
I wanted to do so many things at my own pace without having some stupid time=money factor nagging at the back of my head.
Seriously, every time I go to the cybercafe I always have this feeling of making sure I brought enough money or not.
And when I don't have enough money.... #$*@%&!

So yeah, now that I DO have a computer(It's shared, so I still have an allotted time... when everyone else is sleeping or out. It's 3.30am right now btw.), I'm pretty relieved.

That aside, I was digging up stuff from the boxes I have yet to unload(they've been collecting dust since I shifted around 4months ago:P) and I found something interesting, to me anyway. Haha.
It was a story I wrote for one of my English assignments, 1 maybe 2 years ago.

It was so stupid, so I thought I'd put it on this blog as a keepsake. LOL

My group and I(We decided to each write our own story and just show all of them to the teacher) had to create a story containing all these five themes: Horror, romance, action, mystery and comedy.

Honestly, this is one the most nonsensical stories I've ever written(I was not serious AT ALL), it is void of any facts so don't go asking yourself(or me) questions 'cause the likelihood of finding an answer is zilch. Don't take it seriously(Like anyone can), it's all halfheartedly done 'cause I had no bloody idea how to connect those 5 themes together and I had to write it under an hour(?). =.=

Taylor Lautner(I couldn't think of anybody better at the time for some reason.)is in the story.
Anyway, it was definitely before the whole Twilight craze thing, to clarify some straying minds.
Read on if you wanna know wth's he doing in the story, and if you're thinking that he's gonna be doing something heroic, you can ditch the idea. LOL.

Without further delay, I present to you.... My All-Nonsense Untitled English Assignment!

     On the night of their one year anniversary, Taylor Lautner, a young man of 19 years, took his girlfriend, Anne, on a peaceful and romantic drive to the beach which was located around a three hours drive away from where they were. They were on a long empty stretch of road, thick trunked trees stood three stories tall on either side of the road. The full moon was high in the dark sky, casting small slivers of moonlight through the dense canopy of the trees above.

   The night had been clear and warm. That is until a light mist began forming and the moon decided to hide behind the clouds. The longer Taylor drove, the thicker the mist got. It was a little while more before they were forced to stop the car as the mist had obscured their view of the road ahead.

   They got out of the car, each with a flash light in hand, the cold of the night stinging their skins. Huddling closer together, they flashed their lights around, looking for the road that was now fully cloaked by the dense fog.

   A splutter came from the '68 Chevy both of them had just stepped out of as the engine gave out and stopped functioning entirely. They looked at each other, dread in their eyes. Now, they were stranded in the middle of an empty road which was covered completely with fog, and they had no means of transport. It was the perfect setting for unexpected events of misfortune to occur, like those a person would only see in a horror movie.

   They decided to walk -instead of staying in one place- to find the gas station Taylor knew would be around a 30 minute walk away.

   As they walked, hand in hand, something at the back of Taylor's mind told him they were not alone. As if to prove his instincts right, they both heard something move in the bushes by the roadside. Unnerved, they picked up their pace. Further noise from the bushes soon brought them into a run.

   While running, something from above brushed against their faces. The fog and lack of moonlight made it impossible for them to see what it was. It felt as if thick, rough and tangled string had been dragged along their faces. Assuming it was the leaves on a short tree, they were about to continue when the moon decided at that moment to reveal itself from behind the clouds. The moonlight shone brightly, giving them a better view of their surroundings, especially the "short tree" they had just passed. A scream escaped their mouths. Taylor, who girls found very brave and manly, screamed the loudest.

   Screaming a high pitched scream into the night, Taylor ran in the opposite direction, flailing his arms like a madman and leaving his girlfriend gaping at what they had seen.

   What exactly was it, that could have made Taylor respond in that manner?

   There, hanging by the feet was the body of a deformed woman. The woman had blood-shot eyes, bulging out of their sockets, mouth turned in a huge grim frown. It was absolutely hideous.

   " OH MY GOD!" Shrieked Anne.

   The blood-shot eyes blinked once. Twice. Three times.

   " MOM! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" Anne demanded to know.

   Taylor, on account of finding his girlfriend's over-protective mother hanging from a tree just to spy on them took a toll on his mentality. He is now in Tanjung Rambutan eating an everyday diet of obviously, rambutans. Taylor then became Taylor Swift and wrote a song about this.

The last sentence was written by my friend.
I have to say that his sentence was a good conclusion to an incredibly stupid story. HAHA.

Anyway, I'm out.

BRATs Kuantan 2010 - Day 1

Fate must have been trying to get me back on track because going to Kuantan would have been the last thing on my mind to do before BRATs(Bright, Roving, Annoying Teenagers that is.) came along.
And going to Kuantan has been one of the better things to have happened to me in a really long time.
Those ~~very~~few of you who've read my blog previously would know the reasons as to why I say that.

Back on topic.

This time around, BRATs was held in Kuantan(A little too coincidental: Spent the better part of my childhood there.)

The ride there was pretty comfy, adding to the fact that it was actually fun with my whole family treating this as a roadtrip.

Got to the hotel thinking I was late, only to end up feeling stupid for thinking so because I was one of the early ones. First people I saw were our senior BRATs Leon Teh and Andrea Choong.

They look pretty happy to be there for some reason. Better to smile than to frown I guess(:

Once I registered, they handed me my shirt and a notepad with the cute BRATs logo on it.

Entered the meeting room and saw the few people that was around and immediately tried to mingle.

Notice I used the word tried.

Couldn't say I failed though:P

This was a must have in my bag for the next 4 days.

It was a while before the workshop started rolling.

First thing we did was introduce ourselves.

I thought nothing much of it since I can be a pretty confident speaker when forced to do public speaking.

But this time we had to be a standupper with a camera focused on you and everything.

I admit, I got embarrassed at the thought of me being on camera even before it happened.

BAH, insecurities.

Introductions were done and they replayed the footage.

I was close to crying(in my head, I was way past that point), but of course I sucked it up and watched how my large self did on camera.

Felt much better after seeing a few people fail. Muahahaha*choke*.

After the ~~mostly~~embarrassing videos.

There was a lot of talking on the what-not-dos and the you-have-to-dos and the up-to-yous.

Really began to feel like school after awhile but once something small piques my interest, I tend to forget what bored me in the first place.

Example #1. We were talking about Selena Gomez(She was somehow a relevant topic at that time)

Everyone should know Selena Gomez right?.... Or so I thought.

Random BRATs dude(Assuming it was Haziq): I'm sorry, but WHO is Selena Gomez?

BRATs Facilitator: Let's say you were to interview Lindsay Lohan. What question would you ask her?

Ivy, the mother of us BRATs giving a ~~little~~ talk.

Ian, talking to us about...er... *squints while trying to read the board*

And here's Jason Lioh. He gave us a lil' photography lesson, I felt so pathetic (photography-wise) after that.

Once all that was over, we were split into three groups.

I proudly declare that I was in group 1(Later know as Group Spongebob)!

We were to do mock video interviews, take pictures and do an article on Jason Lioh aka Jasonmumbles.

The assignment began.

Everyone began taking out their huge DSLR cameras(or digital cameras) and personal laptops at that point, brandishing them for the world to see, making everyone like me(maybe it was only me) feel a little out of sorts.

I felt inferior all right!? Geez.

I hid the one and only techgadget I had... my poor dying handphone.

ANYWAY, I was one of the writers-cum-interviewers(:

I thought we pretty much got all the facts we needed plus some extras.

As in journalism we need 6W + 1H. Who? What? When? Where? Why? How? And WHAT ELSE?

With my group, I think you can times this with 3 and you still wouldn't be able to cover the amount of questions -relevant and non-relevant- we asked.

Jason's a really nice guy(:

Here we are finishing up our assignment. ~~And there I am staring at a laptop that I do not own.~~ If I recall correctly, I was proofreading the article we were writing(can't really bother with my blog though. Hehe).

Reviews were done.

1. We got close to all the facts we needed. YAY.

2. We got scolded at for humiliating and malicious(In the words of Ivy) pictures of Jason. D:

3. We got a " Quite okay, for their first time" for our video interview. Okiedokie

A short briefing later, we were finally free to sleep.

School: The First Day!

Last week, I finally shifted to a new school.
Yes, I actually haven't gone to school in a long period of time.
I lied to some fellows... so sue me!
I had troubles with my time again. Haha. Typical.
Insomniac troubles.

About school.
Hmm, what is there to say really?
Especially when you go on the first day of assessments,
Every one's busy studying.
My uniform was uncomfortable and looks like a nurse's outfit,
My hair was retarded and I had to wear my specs most of the time(That's it, I'm getting contact lenses!).....
All that spells: OMG why the new student look like that one?!*Grammatical errors intended*

Haha, but it's kinda exciting, getting to meet new people.
We'll just have to wait after the exams, I guess, which I didn't even try doing for obvious reasons(Haven't opened a text book in 5 months*cough**cough*)
BUT, I did try Biology and English.
At least I know I won't feel bad about failing Bio IF I do:P

Well, I'm out.
Time to go home.( I NEED A COMPUTER T.T)

I'm A Brat! Or In The Making...

The Star BRATs.

Those of you who read the newspaper should know about it(Those who don't... good for you. Ignorance is bliss, I say.)

My mother has always wanted me to join the BRATs*click* for as long as I can remember but I was always under the age limit, till now. ~~I guess she really thought of me as a brat.~~

Anyway, I wasn't really going to submit an entry... that is until my mother said, "If you don't try, I'll be so disappointed...*sad face*"

So, wth, I decided to give it a try. What was there to lose except some time spent doing nothing?

I kept procrastinating till the last 3 hours before the deadline and then I wrote an essay, fixed it up a lil' and sent it with a few minutes to spare.

With such a half baked effort, it's a wonder how I was actually chosen. Hehe.

But the thing was, I had to confirm my attendance before the 10th of August and I could get my hands on a computer or line till the 11th.

Hmm... I wonder if they'd still accept me. Lol

Well, that's all.

I know it's a short post.

But wth, it's still a post. Haha.

I'm An Obese But That Just Means I've Got A Bigger Heart

I don't understand why people look down on others who are fat.
Sometimes, I try not to bother and just tell myself it's true what they say, but then, people will just start using it as an advantage.

I'll tell you a story... and I'm telling you from my point of view. From where I heard it myself.

There's this girl, Ms A.
She isn't pretty and she's not super thin either and her attitude is so foul even roadkill smells better(not a biased opinion, it's been proven countless times).
Now, she's jealous of my close friend(Ms B) who's already left Ms A's school because her boyfriend tried hitting on Ms B a few times.
Ms B is doing well, and a lot of people like her at her new school, so Ms A gets more jealous.
Ms A tells her boyfriend to try and ruin Ms B's reputation by spurting lies about her to people at her new school.

Do you want to know what the boyfriend told Ms B's friend at her new school?
" You know, Ms B only had a few friends at her old school. She always hung out with an obese called Tisha."

Can you please tell me what relevance does that have?
So just because I'm "obese" , I'm a handicap?
Am I not human enough to have a bestfriend who's prettier than me?
It's so bad to be bigger than others, that they think it's a crime?

It's just saddening, the state of mind some people have.
It's insulting.

You know what get's me so angry?
I'm not lazy. I do sports.
Heck, I've represented my school 3 years running, it would've been 4 if I stayed at the school.
I've run for my school house even if I knew I wasn't fast enough.
I represented my school at basketball and netball.
For netball, I was in form 2, and only 2 of us could represent the school along with the seniors, I was chosen as one of them.
I was even good enough to represent my school in the MSSD events.
Even in Taekwondo, there was a competition for every club in Wilayah Persekutuan, and I won- 3 categories.
I have medals to prove it.

So, I'm fat? What relevance does it have?
You know, Ms A, maybe slimmer than I am, but she's too scared to even go under the sun and do sports.
Her boyfriend? He's so thin, you can almost imagine him breaking in half just by looking.
Why don't you make fun of that?
I don't. I don't enjoy insulting other people because I know what it feels like.
Try being on the opposite end for a moment before you decide you're oh-so-superior that you have the right to look down on people who don't have it as lucky as you.

I can tell you now.
Just because I'm fat, it doesn't mean I have no friends...or that I'm lazy.
In fact, I have many friends. I have so many.
But, there are only a few I can call on when I feel down.

Just because my friend hangs out with me(an obese=.=)
It doesn't make her any less humane.
At least she doesn't look down on me, she's more human than any of you who look down on others just because of how they look.

I hope you bloody know who you are.
You need to take therapy for compulsive lying and jealousy along with your boyfriend.

So... I guess I'm deserving of the title "obese"?

It's just a physicality, personality carries everything else.

But... if I've got a big body, doesn't that mean I've got a big heart too?

I personally feel like I look slim here. Ego boost!

I may be big, but don't you think I kinda pulled off this dress?

Maybe. Hehe.

These people don't look down on me.

They support me and help me believe that not everyone sucks.

Old School... Seriously

Bah. I never knew how much I missed my primary school.
It's actually ridiculous that I do.
But, I found out today when I visited my primary school for the first time in almost 4 years.
Why?
Because I needed the headmistress to sign the papers for me and my brother to transfer from a private to public school.

I met so many of the teachers I grew up hating there.
I was looking down on them...literally. Lol
HAR HAR. They actually have to look up at me now! Eheh.
Must give a bit of respect lah...so I said hello and answered obvious questions they were gonna ask me.

Going to my primary school, I have officially figured out that I have lost my mandarin conversing skills. *Sigh* (6 years gone down the drain!!!)

I walked into the staffroom, most of the teachers I knew were there.
Those that didn't know us just stared while those that did just kept grinning(For God knows what) .
It was kinda funny how I used to think the place was so foreboding.

Class Teacher From Standard 5 & 6: Wah, did you come here to teach?
Me: No lah!

Somehow, I knew that teacher secretly liked me back then.
Probably 'cause I was so innocent, naive and totally socially inept. Haha.
But, seriously, how old does she think I am!?
She's not the only one though...

Assistant Headmistress: Did you drive here by yourself?(I think she liked me too, for the same reasons above. Lol)
Me: No! I'm only 16!

Also, did you notice how I tried to keep my sentences as short as possible!?
Pathetic.

Anyway, signatures and cops later, I had to go back to my "current" school ~~which I have not attended for 2 months~~to collect the books I left there.
And, to say goodbye to my friends.

It was kinda heartwarming and also coincidental that a whole bunch of them were at the school entrance ready for me to hug! LOL
Well, 3 years and a half of memories spent there.
Heh, I feel a little -I dont' know- sad, I guess?

Guess it's time to go, before I get anymore weepy!
I've been in this cybercafe for way to long, and I think my parents are waiting for me.

It's been a while!

It's almost as if I fell off the face of the Earth.

But worry not, as I am back in cyberspace for an hour or so. Hopefully.

(I still don't have my own computer fyi.)

Anyway, it's already the 24th of May and I was supposed to update about the Kelly Clarkson concert I went to last month(25th of April)... sad to say... the pictures in my phone memory got wiped clean. Fml lah.

And there was quite a few good pictures too.

Anyway, to make up for that.

Now, getting the Tokio Hotel tickets was a funny business I tell you.
At first, I heard that Hitz.fm was giving out tickets to the first caller through who could connect lyrics from their songs together.
I only decided to try calling on the last day they were giving them out, I didn't know Tokio Hotel's lyrics by heart anyway and I was only calling on a whim.
Usually they'd give tickets throughout the day, but I only called when they were giving out the last four tickets(Which was around 11pm=.=)

So I heard the Que to call.
The clock was at 11.11 and so I made a wish to get through to Hitz.(I do that sometimes. Lol)

Number busy... Damn.
Never mind call again!
To my bloody surprise I got through. WTH.

So I decided to follow.
I stayed with my mother till she found a car park while the rest of my family went down to start shopping.

I got tickets too!
WHAT, for both of us!?

Yeah, it came with the albums that I just bought, I'm lining up to sign them now. Hurry up!

I wasn't even wearing proper shoes for a concert(I was wearing heels... again. LOL)

I met up with the band and Tristan and I got our newly bought albums signed.

I honestly could not help staring at Tom and Bill Kaulitz(They were so gorgeous in person♥)

I've actually been pretty happy these pass few days(:
Things are looking up ever since I blurted out the crap that was happening.
Hmm. I'm having an epiphany.

Ahem anyway, it's been a long time since the sunshine shone through the dark depressing rainclouds of my life(Pfft, amateur poetry much?) but it came back anyway.
My parents are getting a hold of things it seems, or they're really good at acting the part(which I really doubt so)

The first drop of sunlight came in the form of my friend asking me to accompany her to the Kelly Clarkson concert(which I will update later on... in the coming future)
That was a plus point to the otherwise uneventful one month of my youth.

Second would be the visit from my family in America and Singapore.
PRESENTS. HAR HAR.
I missed the lah. I'm not that shallow!

The third, I don't really know whether to consider it good or bad.
It's just like staying under the sun and not knowing whether you'll get a tan or get sunburn._.
I'll be back at school by next week I heard.
BUT, how the effing crap am I supposed to catch up with everything?

It's Just Another Day

My studies are the last thing on my mind.
My brain has slowly but surely begun to deteriorate.
Not a good sign for a 16 year old... ~~I hope they don't kick me out of the science class~~.

I have been walking to and from the cybercafe(to get updates from friends and not much else=.=)but I still don't see any loss of pounds. They're so bloody stubborn>.>
Hey, I need something to take my mind off current matters okay?
It's not that easy, but things are looking a little bit better(A VERY little BIT).

I've been so lost in time that I had no idea what date it was till this morning.
So, I was pretty much living the same day over and over again since the 5th of April(which I thought was the date today).
There is something seriously wrong with me.
Mental breakdown? I don't think so.

Anyway, that'll be it for now.

I don't think I've cried that much in a long time.
It's just downright embarrassing for me.
I find it hard to look my friends in the eyes and tell them anything now.
I feel like a liar.
I can only really trust a couple of people.

Anyway, going to school would've been a nice change from the stupid walls I see everyday.
But it wasn't.
Just when I thought I was in the clear and that nobody would disturb me.
I feel like I was thrown into a shredder for something that I didn't do=.=

I find it so hard to express anything.
I'm emotionally drained.
Notice how my recent updates are so painfully dull?
That's because, as I'm typing, my brain is trying to find a way to cope with stress, disappointment, depression, annoyance, anger, regret, confusion and lack of sleep plus some other forms of negative emotions I can't bother to remember.

To all the questions that people have been asking me, seriously, half the time you guys asked me these questions, I wanted to snap.
What happened? (Nothing happened, I was just lazy.)
Where have you been? (Africa, it's a nice place, you should go there... and stay.)
How are you? (I'm fine, fucking perfect!)
You came back? (No lah, I didn't come back -that's why I'm here*=.=*)

I swear, if somebody asks me these questions again I will ignore you on the spot(I know some of you mean well, but please, if I don't tell you anything, it's because I DON'T WANT TO.)

Stupid Paths I Wish To Ignore

I'll be brutally honest here.
I can't keep staring at the screen, forcing myself to think of something happy to write down.
Because I'm not.

I keep lying through my teeth.
"I'm fine, it's just something stupid."
"Nah, I don't care."
"It's nothing important."

My family right now is at the bitter end of the financial line.
Not at the very end, just so close to it that it makes my parents really worried.
Everyday I wake up, I see my parents so haggard.

I've got no phone.
My father's got no car.
And I've not gone to school in...a while.

So I have to make a choice that could possibly pave out the rest of my life.
Since my father was having problems, I thought it would give him some peace of mind if I just told him I wanted to shift to a government school, I already planned to tell him.
But then my mother said she'd let me go to America to study where my extended family can provide for me if I wanted to.
Or I could just stay in my not-prefect private school where I made memories for the past 3 years and 4 months and let my father struggle on.

I just feel so confused right now.
I don't want to make the decision but I have to.

My mother regrets not going to America when she had the chance.
She said it to me.
She would've gone if she got the chance now.
She'd brings my siblings and myself along... but my father can't go(financial reasons again).
I wouldn't go. I find it unfair to my father.

What she said could've made me cry, but I held it in.
Her words could've easily meant that she would've left my father here in Malaysia and get a citizenship for herself and start working in the US.

Stupid. So stupid.
Life can be so fucked.

There was this game going on Facebook where we "like" a person's status and they would tell us certain things they thought or knew about us.

Well, I was some parts bored, some parts curious, so I thought, "why not?".
